Club Notes

Ramor Minors

Ramor travelled to Kilnaleck in Div 1 of the minor league and took a share of the points against a very good Crosserlough side. Liam Brady continued his goal scoring form with another early on, Conor Farrelly and Mathew also got in on the goal scoring, points from Brady and Farrelly along with scores from Peter Nulty and Killian Maguire helped us gain a very useful point. We also saw great block downs from Lee Burdis and Mikey Kavanagh and the ever reliable Daven Bent. Neal McEnroe and Shane Quealy linked up well. Overall a relatively satisfying day for Pat, Leo and Mick as they got an opportunity to see more of their squad in action.

Ramor Seniors

Travelled as well and took on Mullahoran in Our Lady of Lourdes Park. The home side just held out for Victory after building up an 8 point lead early in the first half with the wind. Ramor however fought back in the second half and went ahead but Mullahoran scored late on to clinch the match. Jack Brady scored 5 fine points and put the Doyler through for his goal. There was debuts for Liam Brady in goals Pauric O'Connell and a starting Laurence Caffrey and they acquitted themselves very well. This Breffni League Div 1 Fixture is part of a learning curve and lessons were learned by both management teams

Ramor Div 2

Reserve team were the hosts this time and took on Shercock. it was the away team who did most of the early scoring and were 1-2 to no score up before Barry Balfe scored the first goal in his 2-5 tally. The game was very even as a contest but the young Ramor Team pushed on to win by 2-12 to 2-9. John Sheehan scored his first point for Ramor, Ciaran, Kevin and Stephen upped the average age ever so slightly and added a bit of experience. It's good for Pat to get the campaign off with a win.

Elsewhere clubman John Brady had a winning start with Ballyhaise.

Preparations are well underway for the pitch opening on the 10th May where Cavan will take on Meath.

Ramor Transformation has inspired participants to continue with their training with many of the athletes joining in programmes with Alan Treacy and Kevin McElhinney and also using the running track
